Jelenetfotó 2.2“I was kicked out of home, lost my job, got stabbed.” That’s how Dave came to the White Hart. “The people who end up here are a bit lost and deserted. You have to be in a slightly strange, off-kilter, off-the-tracks place to live here.” G came here after his girl went to Australia. Aaron’s soon to be a father but finds it hard to be in the same room as the mother. Without heating and hot water the gentlemen won’t pay rent. Without rent, they face eviction. Upstairs, the electrics are failing, the dirt’s piling up, and the place is falling down. But down in the cellar, the music’s keeping up their hopes and keeping up the neighbours. “Everything about the way I live is a sacrifice for a dream. I'm chasing the bigger picture, hoping for something. I think with this band we’ve got something special.” “But what’s coming next? What’s around the corner?” This film picks its way though the empties and ashtrays, the red tape and blue notes, following young men trying to find their futures before someone once again calls “time gentlemen, please.”
