Jelenetfotó 4.1Musafir is a group of folk music from Rajasthan which has the single characteristic to gather musicians of various castes and various religions. Hameed Khan, tablaist of reputation, is the artistic director and the spiritual father of the group. It furrows the Rajasthan to find best musicians and then, he teaches them "Musafir" repertory. Musafir means "nomad". Behind this name all the philosophy of the group is hiding place: to discover the others through the voyage while using the music as language. Musicians of formation, Pierre-Yves Perez and Cédric Dupire reach India to discovered music from Rajasthan. Their meeting with Hameed Khan, director artistic of “Musafir” is decisif in their research. It enables them to evolve in the heart of the musical universe from Rajasthan. This film, "Musafir, Ustad Hameed Khan" is their first realization auto-producted.
