Introduction I was born in Budapest on 16 February 1999 and I have been living in Budapest since then. I go to class 5 in “Fasori”(tree lined avenue) Lutheran Grammar School in Budapest (Budapest-Fasori Evangélikus Gimnázium). My father is Béla Körtési, director of photography, who has photographed several feature films and documentaries and has received various awards. My mother is Jolán Angyal, surveyor and engineer; she prepares digital geological maps. I started photography when I was in class 1 (7 years old), with a camera with films, on negatives. I have been familiarizing myself with the digital video camera for a year. My film entered was prepared in the autumn of 2008, which is my first work. I collect corks, which is discovered in the film. My father was surprised when he looked at the shots on the cassette, just out of curiosity, as he did not know that I would like to make a short film. He thought that I was playing with the camera in my hands. Then we discussed to cut the film, so we did it together on the computer. I also made the background music: I found a little tam-tam drum that I was playing while I was recording it using the microphone of the camera. Apart from filming, I also like reading, composing music. I go to class 2 at King St. Stephen School of Music (Szent István Király Zeneiskola), where Emília Baghy teaches me the piano. I have been learning to paint with János Szilágyi, painter-artist, who has already showed me a lot of interesting techniques. I won the drawing competition at school in November 2008, and I was also entered for the competition in the district. In May 2009, some of my pictures were exhibited in Attila József Cultural Centre (József Attila Művelődési Ház). I like learning poems by heart, I became the second at the poetry reciting competition at school in 2006. And, of course, I play a lot: with Legos, but my favourite toy is Red Bunny (a plush animal), which I got from my mother when I was three months old; it is a bit shabby with rubbed off hair, but I like it very much. I invent and also write various stories with it as the main character. Awards received for the film “Corks, there are many!” (Dugó, az van!): 2nd Children’s Eyes Film Festival (II. Gyerekszem Filmfesztivál) in 2009: Award of the Professional Jury Award of the Student Jury Award of the Local Audience 1st place by Internet voting 16th National Student Film Festival (XVI.
