Introduction

Anna de Paoli was born in 1980 in Berlin. After highschool she spent time abroad in California, France and Italy. While studying social and economic communication studies at the University of Arts in Berlin from 2000 – 2004, she completed several internships, e.g. at arte Television, the distributor X-Verleih and the press department at the University of Arts Berlin. There, involved in short films and realisation of own film projects, she was also member of the managing board of the student society "Berliner KommunikationsFORUM". Her diploma thesis is on the German newcomer filmmarket. Working at the Berlin International Film Festival since 2001, Anna started her film production studies at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin in 2004.
