Who are the Csangos? This documentary attempts to present the Csangos’ unusual identity and living circumstances in Moldavia, Romania – a special case of language and ethnic minorities in Europe. What are their chances for a modern self-definiton: assimilation and/or saving their native tongue, trying to retain their centuries-old isolation or heading off into today’s open world.
