Description of the content Stuttering is not a handicap. This is the official opinion on people who struggle with this speech impediment. Even so, those who live with it, know just how much they can't do as others do. Stuttering is only the tip of the iceberg of other psychological problems. Verbal communication is one of the most important parts of everyday life. When someone isn't capableof it; an enormous effort is needed to live a full life. It's easy for those with a more fortunate mental constitution to open up to the world; but those who haven't been so lucky, may close up for life. The people here in this film agreed to appear in front of the camera and speak. For the average person, this wouldn't be such a great feat, but - for these people it was a heroic undertaking. They agreed to appear in this film because most people know very little about those that stutter. They also hope to help people who feel that they can't go out amongst people if they can't speak. They tell their own stories, some funny - some not so funny, of how they have struggled and still do.
