Description of the content
Musical wandering through Moldavanka, the former Jewish neighbourhood in Odessa where the old Odessa maffia songs, called bladnyak, originate from. A Jewish musician Alec Kopyt, born in Odessa and currently living in Amsterdam is searching there for musicians to play in a restaurant. Vladimir, a warm-hearted pensioner is strolling along the yards of the ruinous slums looking for samagon (moonshine). The filmmaker himself is seeking the light, but finds a bulb at granny Vera's. A trip to laugh and to cry.
