Description of the content László Lajtha composer, winner of the Kossuth Award, who was a contemporary of Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály, took a different root in collecting and doing research in folk music. He examined the mutual influence of the dances and music of different groups of people living together. We go along the most important places of the root of his research. We made interviews with the descendants of his informants, and made a comparison of his findings with the present situation.
