Description of the content
As a researcher and scholar, Lajos Vargyas' carrier is not only characterised by the pure fact that he has published twenty-four books and more than three-hundred scientific studies, but also by the enthusiastic and thorough research work in the field of folk music, folk ballads and prosody. In the film, he relates significant details of his life and his scientific carrier. Sixty years after his first important fieldwork in Áj (Slovakia), we can follow him returning to the village. His colleagues and students also contribute to the portrait.
