Description of the content The Languedoc– a Provençale speaking minority, living on the French-Italian border, is often referred to by the generic name of Occitanes. They are French – but they do not often like that type of labelling. They are now forming their system of autonomy, and this process has accellerated spectacularly in recent times. In this area it is natural that certain bodies of this group, which mainly lives in Italy, are located in France.
