Description of the content
Alongside Bernauer street in Berlin, there used to be a so called „deathstripe“, behind the Berlin Wall. After the wall was torn down, leaving a museum and an empty space, a no man’s land. Even today this space is a border section, between the „hip“ center area called „Mitte“ and the working class area of „Wedding“, right on the opposite side of the former „deathstripe“. While old boundaries slowly fade, others emerge, between old and young, immigrants and „germans“, rich and poor and so on.
