Description of the content
“If got a number, a house number, you is always like a human. A man a’ fine standing. And those that keep animals. That’s how it goes, dear.” This is the summary of Gizi Faragó's practical experience, who lives in a small farm a few kilometers from Kétegyháza, with her two younger sisters. They are the “three sisters”. Gizi is divorced, Mari is a widow, Erzsi is a spinster. None of them have children of their own, but keep track of ten, children of their brothers who’d spent various periods of time being raised by Gizi at the farm.
