Sonar Film was created in 2003 by Britt Kramvig, Ingeborg Solvang and Rossella Ragazzi. They are all women and visual anthropologists and the company has produced already several documentaries of short length, made within an anthropological fieldwork and social scientific research, used in teaching aqnd seminars but also shown in festivals and movie theaters. “Firekeepers” is the first long-feature documentary of this company and was produced by the Norwegian Cultural Council, the Saami Parliament and the North Norwegian Film Centre.
