Moesgaard Film aims at developing innovative ways of producing and representing anthropological knowledge on film. The company was founded in 2007 by Ton Otto, Christian Suhr Nielsen and Steffen Dalsgaard with the release of the ethnographic documentary “Ngat is Dead : Studying Mortuary Traditions”. The foundation of the company is part of a general development of a research focus on visual and material culture at the Institute of Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics at the University of Aarhus.
